Rules & Guidelines

The Indiana Peony Festival invites talented floral designers to create the floral installations that have become one of the festival’s most celebrated features — a chance to showcase your work, collaborate with other creatives, and be part of an experience seen by thousands.

New this year- we are inviting landscapers to apply and collaborate with florists to create stunning, show-stopping designs.

Logistics

  • Festival date & time: Saturday, May 16th, 2026 10am-4pm.

  • Multiple floral installations throughout Seminary Park and Downtown Noblesville.

  • We are looking for all levels of experience. Projects vary from centerpieces to large displays showcased throughout the festival.

  • Floral Displays will be put together Friday, May 15th from noon to 5pm for the Seminary Park areas OR Saturday morning, May 16th for downtown Noblesville from the hours of 6am to 9am.

  • IPF will provide an allotted amount of peonies for the displays.

  • An informational design meeting will be held prior to the festival for florists to attend to discuss their design, materials used, etc.

Installation & Deinstallation Guidelines

  • Water is not convenient for all installations, so make sure to bring your own. All designs need to be watered and refreshed the morning of the Festival, by a member of the design team or designated representative, before 9 am.

  • Once your installation is complete, please pick up all the trash and tidy the area before you leave. Any items left behind that are not part of the design will be removed.

  • Deinstallation will begin immediately following the festival at 4pm. Any design not removed by 5:30 pm, on the day of the festival, will be disposed of by a member of the committee.

  • The Indiana Peony Festival is not responsible for stolen or lost equipment.

General Guidelines

IPF will allocate a specific number of peonies for each installation based on the scale of the space. Peonies will be delivered to the address listed on the application through our floral partner when minimum delivery requirements are met; otherwise, they will be available for pickup at Marvin’s Wholesale. Floral installation supplies will be supplied by 46 & Spruce. Each designer will be responsible for all additional peonies, flowers, greenery materials and supplies needed to execute their design plan. Dried and artificial materials are permitted sparingly. We would like to see 80% fresh. If your installation requires any anchoring and requires more than zip ties or 3M hooks, you must get approval. No cling, glue, screws, or waterproof floral tape without approval. Spray paint or paint of any kind is not permitted to be used at the festival at any time.

Marketing

Branded signage will be displayed at each floral installation to promote IPF and your business. To maintain a cohesive, elevated look—and to ensure the displays photograph and share well on social media—we ask that designers not place their own signage at the installations. Each participating floral designer will be featured on our website alongside images of their work, with additional promotion through Instagram highlighting the final 2026 designers. Selected florists will also have the option to be included in a curated small-business floral directory distributed to Noblesville businesses seeking designers for storefront installations, special projects, and future collaborations—offering continued exposure beyond the event. All installations are eligible for both the People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice competition.
